Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE)
The Kansas State Department of Education has made a commitment to provide state-wide professional development for K-3, Title I, ESL, and Special Education teachers through the Reading First grant.

The Institute for Educational Research and Public Service (KU) - (785-864-9977)
The Institute for Educational Research and Public Service was established in 1997. It serves two main functions: First, it assists faculty members in their quest to secure resources to support their research and training activities. Second, its professional staff members develop projects that serve the state and nation. All of these projects are sponsored by federal and state governmental agencies and philanthropic foundations.

Among the major emphases of the Institute's work are extended time, or afterschool, programs in the public schools of the state and equal educational opportunity initiatives, professional development for teachers through the Kansas Reading First initiative, and educational opportunity projects which are described under the TRIO and Assembly of Equity Program link.

The Jones Institute for Educational Excellence (ESU) - (877-378-5433)
The Jones Institute for Educational Excellence (JIEE) seeks to provide educational leadership and service, improve the quality of instruction and teaching, conduct policy studies on emerging issues, promote excellence in all areas of learning, and contribute to the educational dialogue on national trends and issues. JIEE offers workshops, conferences, and online instruction to educators as they grow in their profession.
